Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.  ~Theodore Roosevelt

Today we reflect and remember our leaders of the present and the past.  While searching Presidential quote the above one stuck out.  May this quote touch the hearts and minds of all who read this!

What does it mean to you?

Today as I was having my morning cup of tea I read the tea tab quote on my Salada Tea bag.  It has literally stayed with me all day long.

"Ability is NOTHING without Opportunity"
Wow does that sum up so much for someone with a disability.  We at The Arc try to advocate for peoples rights, for acceptance, for understanding, for community involvement.  So really, how can we get any of these things without Opportunity?

Perhaps it is Opportunity that we should use in our advocacy efforts.  Any thoughts on this?  What does this quote mean to you?

"Recognizing and respecting differences in others, and treating everyone like you want them to treat you, will help make our world a better place for everyone. Care... be your best. You don't have to be handicapped to be different. Everyone is different!" - Kimputer, Kim Peek, inspiration for Rain Main.
