Respecting Differences 02/14/2012
"Recognizing and respecting differences in others, and treating everyone like you want them to treat you, will help make our world a better place for everyone. Care... be your best. You don't have to be handicapped to be different. Everyone is different!" - Kimputer, Kim Peek, inspiration for Rain Main. CommentsLeave a Reply | AuthorI am a work from home mom to five amazing children with my last two being my one in a million boys. There are only a handful of them in the entire world and I feel blessed to be their mom. My husband and I are the proud parents of identical twin boys both with Down Syndrome and Autism. Because of them I am now Executive Director of this amazing organization that has been up and running for 45 Years. I am so honored to have been given the opportunity to be able to help provide programs and services to people such as my twins. I feel its helpful to be a parent to really see what the need is and to meet other parents dealing with different needs and trying to find solutions. ArchivesApril 2012 Categories |
