Dear Friend of The Arc:

I am writing on behalf of The Arc of Jefferson and Clearfield Counties and Camp Friendship to ask for your help with our 33rd Annual Run or Walk for Someone Special.  This event provides all funding for 2 summer camp programs we host for children in our area with a variety of special needs, as well as, a weeklong Autism Camp for children in August.  We are looking for businesses who would like to make a statement and support their local special needs population by becoming a major sponsor with a donation of $250.00 or more, ALL monies raised stays right here in your community.  Your money helps buy food, t-shirts, trophies, prizes, and other items needed to hold our event. 

The 33rd Annual Run or Walk for Someone Special will be held Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Sykesville, PA at 3 pm.  This event has continued to grow and grow each year.  Last year we were overjoyed to have had over 400 participants supporting us.  A good time was had by all!

To show our appreciation to our sponsor, we give recognition in a variety of media sources used to promote our event.  Without our major sponsors funding, basic race day needs would be extremely difficult for us come up with in order to put this event on to raise the funds so needed to continue to provide our programs each year. There are 4 levels of sponsorships.  Detailed information about these sponsorship levels is on a separate form included with this letter.  I want to thank you for your consideration in sponsoring the 2012 Run or Walk for Someone Special.  We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, all donations are recognized as a tax deductible contribution, our federal tax identification number is  23-7012267.

Also, you may or may not have noticed our new look and a new name, we are so extremely proud to have expanded our service area to include Clearfield County and to have adopted the new brand that The Arc of U.S. developed last year.  There is a need out there, and we are trying our best to reach out and find it.
